How I Increased The Email Open Rates Of My Clients (Up to 81.4% OR)...So Can YOU

🌲 Subject line:

My favorite one is the "one-word" subject line...however, the one that brought me more success is the "curiosity + benefit/result" formula

Almost as important as the subject line, I usually use this line to spark curiosity, especially if I already mentioned the benefit/result in the subject line

🌲 Segmentation:

This is where the "real" email markeing comes in.

The biggest mistake you can make is to send an email to a large group of subscribers who are in different stages of the buyer's journey.

I always segment the list based on engagement ratio and behavior (interests, preferences, purchase history...)

Some common segments are: people who engaged in the last 30 days; people who bought from you 3 or more times; people who opened your last 5 emails...and so on.

🌲 Deliverability:

Most of the eCommerce emails land in the Promo or Spam folder.

Make a couple of email tests to make sure your email doesn't have any broken links or technical issues (use MailGenius)...

And remember: most of the deliverability issues are due to bad email practices.

What I usually do is that I try to send engagement emails to a very engaging segment of your list.

This way, the open rates are higher and Gmail & Co. flag you as a good sender.

🌲 Split-Test

Marketing is all about testing.

Test one variable at a time (subject line, body copy, picture, preview text...) and see what triggers your audience.
