What Makes A Good Weekly "Broadcast" Email?

To me, it should have these 3 criteria:

1. Give value

Many times the goal of the weekly broadcast email is NOT to sell right away.

The goal is to educate or entertain the subscriber with valuable info...

And then offer them the chance to buy.

What I like to do (when I send an "engagement" email)...

Is to list the top 3-5 best-sellers with good visuals at the bottom of the email, so they can pick their favorite one WHILE getting value from the email.

2. Overcome objections

The goal of these emails is to overcome some of the common objections your subscribers have in mind.

I always keep a list where I list down all the most common objections...

And create specific emails about them.

3. Mention the brands' benefits

I like to remind the subscriber of the benefits they'll get when they buy from the brand.

Easy returns...100% money-back guarantee...FREE shipping...Sustainable Mission (e.g. plant 5 trees when they buy a product from you)

These are some of the criteria I always keep in mind when I write broadcast campaigns.

Sometimes I add them all in a single email...

While some other times I just take one point I mentioned above and write a specific email about it.
